After Nigerian Idol Season 10, Acclaimed Local and International Producers Thumbs Up HS Studios
Aug 29, 2025
HS Studios' successful staging of Nigerian Idol Season 10 has prompted stakeholders in the industry, including experienced international production professionals, to declare Nigeria and West Africa's premium television production facility as the go-to venue for large and mid-sized formats.
The Ikeja, Lagos based outfit's growing reputation for flawless and unblemished delivery on world acclaimed, top rated productions has continued to stand it out. Its capacity to produce and collaborate with producers on epic reality shows, game shows, live sports broadcast and other productions are its greatest asset with an impressive of Productions under its belt.
Andre Siebert, the Director of Light for the the just ended Nigerian Idol Season 10 and who has been on the bit since the top notch production shifted base to HS Studios four years ago makes some candid statements on his experience so far:
Andre, great to have you around again for the fourth year in a row. How has it been?
Andre:
It's been great. I've only done the last four seasons, but very happy to be part of the milestone that restarted after COVID. It's so crazy to think that four years ago, we had no audience. It was only the live show, and as restrictions lifted and stuff, we really grew the show into something really, really nice. And HS Studios has been a big part of growing the show. It's such a big, spacious and great facility, and that is something that we need.
What impact do you think this Show has had on the talents it discovers year on year?
Andre:
Well, first, the impact is that we've made four millionaires since I've been part of the show, I know it's 10 years. I don't know what the prize money before that was, but instantly, we've made four millionaires from the year I joined the crew, with a car prize experience and soft drinks for life. That's the impact just on four people. But if you take all the contestants over the years, if you put together what exposure they've got, what references they've got, they got gigs you know, to go anywhere. So that part of the entertainment industry really, really improved, but also on the technical side, Nigerian Idol is an international brand that demands international standards. And well done to the crew for their determination to up their skills. We're going to try new things, things that have not necessarily been done in Nigeria before and which we want to do now, and they have grown themselves into something that's really, really awesome.
You have a very vast production experience in this field. Over the years, you have produced massive, live shows like this one. What's your impression since you have been in this studio for the past four years?
Andre:
Well, HS studios, the first time we saw it, I knew this is a venue you can do a good show in. It's got the size, it's got the height. For me, it's got the AC, which is really important. It's got a good space and the location is something else. Really fantastic. As I said, it's a great space to be in. And work. You can see here we made it all black. It's got proper house lights if you need to rig. I'm sure I've not physically been involved with your facility side of things, but I've seen the setup. So, I feel it. HS is really just providing a space for people to be creative in. Is it a live show? Is it a talk show? Is it a game show? Is it any type of show that you can think of, you can even do music video shoots in here? You know, it's such a versatile space, and it's really great to be here.
Thank you so much Andre and our best wishes from HS Studios always.
Andre:
Thank you. I appreciate it. Thank you for having us. I hope we get to come back again sooner rather than later.
